Camping is one of the fastest growing recreational activities in the United States. From 2010 to 2012, the number of Americans camping grew by 3 million people. In total, 43 million people went camping in the States last year.

Why not go camping? The United States has some of the most beautiful natural landscapes in all of the world. We have incredible vistas, gorgeous flowing rivers, and seemingly endless forests. For many people, camping represents an amazing opportunity to reconnect with nature and see the world as their ancestors did. Of course, that is only one reason to go camping. • Teach Your Kids About Nature

When you take your family camping, you are presented with a rare opportunity to pull your children away from the endless allure of Facebook, video games, and all the other distracting forms of technology they have available to them. Imagine, whether you stay in Ohio cabins or go RV camping in Illinois, you are likely to have a selection of wildlife, mountains, and trees that can be used to teach your children about the wonders of nature.
